Services and treatment plans

RMNA building

Rocky Mountain Neuropsychiatric Associates provides diagnostic evaluations and medication management for psychiatric care. The most frequently treated conditions are anxiety, depression and bipolar disorders. These conditions can severely impact your quality of life, but can be effectively treated with therapy and medications.

We combine a thorough evaluation with the latest research in medication treatments to design an individualized treatment plan just for you.

Patient Evaluation

As a new patient, we’ll conduct a thorough assessment during an initial 60-minute appointment. At this time, we’ll discuss your psychiatric diagnosis and current physical condition, and we’ll review medication options, discussing both their benefits and risks. Many medications are available to help treat the symptoms of mood disorders, but each drug impacts each person differently, so medication management is a critical part of your treatment and recovery plan.

Medication Management

After starting a new medication, we’ll check in with you regularly to assess how you are feeling and the impact of any side effects. Depending on your treatment plan, your follow-up visits may be scheduled from every two weeks to every other month. Some individuals do not get relief from the first medication they try, so ongoing medication management is an important part of the process.

ECT

Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) is a medical treatment proven to provide rapid and significant improvements in individuals who have severe depression or bipolar disorder and who have not responded well to other treatments. Dr. Richard Marciniak performs ECT from Peak View Behavioral Health, and is available for ECT consultations by appointment only.
